RFL Rolls-Out Lewin
Report on Value of Lab Testing At a special briefing and panel discussion on September 29 at the National Press
Club in Washington DC, the Results for Life program--in conjunction with ACLA and AdvaMed--released the new Lewin Report, The Value of Laboratory Screening and Diagnostic Tests for Prevention
and Health Care Improvement. The report outlines the impact of laboratory medicine in better
diagnosis, detection, and treatment, drawing upon case studies on diabetes, cervical cancer, drug-resistant infections,
and metastatic colon cancer. The report found that laboratory screening and diagnostic tests align with the goals
